As part of the $75 million Campaign for Saint Ignatius High School, a groundbreaking ceremony for The Carfagna Family Magis Athletic Center took place on Tuesday, June 5.
 
The Athletic Center will be part of the Campus South Athletic Project which also included the turfing of Kyle and McLaughlin fields. This field house and locker room will be constructed to better house practices and equipment.
 
Rita and Peter Carfagna '71 were joined by their family and other benefactors to celebrate the beginning of the construction for the center that will bear their name as a sign of their generosity that makes this project possible. Also in attendance were Mayor of Cleveland Frank G. Jackson, Councilman Kerry McCormack and Executive Director of Ohio City Incorporated Thomas McNair.
