The Saint Ignatius Wildcat Swimming & Diving Programs Endowment Fund was created to celebrate the rich history and many accomplishments of the swimming and diving program and to ensure its success in perpetuity. At its essence, Saint Ignatius Swimming & Diving embodies the mission of the school in promoting excellence, selflessness and community. Your designated contribution to the endowment for the sport of swimming helps secure the future development of these Saint Ignatius student-athletes. A gift to the program makes an impact in the following ways:
- Secures pool time for the team to train and become familiar with a regulation size yardage pool
- Allows the program to attend national meets to swim against other top-ranked teams in the country and give the athletes exposure to college scouts
- Enables the Athletic Department to send the coaching staff to national seminars to learn new training techniques
- Ensures the Athletic Department can conduct national-level searches to hire top coaching staff dedicated to building a swimming powerhouse
- Provides the Athletic Department with the capital needed to invest in the advances taking place in the sport through the purchase of new training equipment for swimming
- Creates the opportunity for the Athletic Department to secure both Olympic training specialists and former Olympic swimmers to conduct seminars to improve each swimmer’s technique on the team
